MariVira — Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses MariVira and forms part of the Terms of Service (https://marivira.com/legal/terms). MariVira lets you store your own records and upload files and photos; this policy sets the limits on that use. MariVira data is private to your account — there is no public or social sharing feature.
1. Your responsibility for what you upload
You are responsible for the content you add (records, notes, photos, documents, receipts) and must have the right to store it. Only upload content and personal data that you are lawfully allowed to store and process.
2. Prohibited content
Do not store, upload or transmit content that:
- is unlawful, or infringes intellectual-property, privacy or other rights;
- contains another person's personal data where you have no lawful basis to store it
(for example, do not add crew or other individuals' personal details to trip notes without a proper basis);
- is malicious (malware, harmful code) or attempts to exploit the service;
- is fraudulent, deceptive, or misrepresents documents, insurance or ownership;
- you are not authorised to possess.
Files are validated for type and size and certain formats (such as SVG) are not accepted; do not attempt to bypass these controls.
3. Prohibited conduct
Do not:
- access, or try to access, another user's data — every account is strictly isolated
and cross-account access attempts are blocked and logged;
- probe, scan, or test the security of the service without authorisation, or
circumvent authentication, rate limits or tenancy controls;
- use automated means to scrape, overload or disrupt the service, or interfere with
other users;
- reverse engineer, resell, or build a competing service from MariVira except where
permitted by law;
- impersonate others or misuse the notification/email features.
4. Reasonable use
MariVira is intended for managing your own boats and records. Storage and upload sizes are subject to reasonable limits (for example, per-file size limits enforced by the service). We may apply rate limits to protect availability.
5. Reporting and enforcement
To report abuse, unlawful content, or a suspected security issue, contact us: abuse/content — legal@marivira.com; security vulnerabilities — see https://marivira.com/legal/security. We may remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, and cooperate with authorities where a breach of this AUP or the law occurs, with notice where practicable.
6. Changes
We may update this AUP; material changes will be notified. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
